We serve any recipient anywhere in Sweden, from listed corporations to private persons on the countryside. Some sign directly; others avoid service. When they do, we escalate through every step Swedish law provides, in the right order and with the right paperwork, until service is complete.

Our government authorisation permits steps 2, 3 and 4. You never need to do anything, and all of it is included in the fixed price.

    Signature

    Documents are handed to the recipient against signature.

    Refused receipt

    If the recipient refuses to sign, service is still legally valid and documented.

    Substitute service

    Delivery to an adult household member or employer, with notice sent to the recipient.

    Posting 

    Documents are affixed at the recipient's address, generally permitted at the earliest after 25 days, when the recipient is actively avoiding service.

  5. 05
    Public notice

    If steps 1-4 are not possible, we continue with service by public notice. Usually adds 1-2 months.

There is one report template per legal outcome, customised according to law. Every report states the date, address, recipient name and personal ID number, and the documents served, together with your reference if provided. USM-94 and EU Service Regulation certificates are completed on request, at no extra cost.

Common questions

Yes. Sweden permits private, government-authorised process servers under the Hague Convention Article 10(b) and Swedish law. Service executed this way is valid for civil and commercial matters and is routinely accepted by foreign courts.
An authorised process server may still lawfully complete service. Swedish law allows substitute service to a household member or employer, or posting in the recipient's mailbox after the required period. Refusal to sign does not defeat properly executed service.
Civil and commercial documents such as summonses, complaints, judgments, payment demands and arbitration notices can be served by private process server. Criminal matters must go through Sweden's Central Authority (Länsstyrelsen Stockholm).
Under 4a § Delgivningslagen, the recipient must be able to understand the document's content. Serving English-language documents on an English-speaking recipient is routinely acceptable, which often saves translation costs. A translation may be necessary if the recipient does not understand the document's language.
